I googled some Soul Food places for me and my family to eat for dinner and this place popped up. The fried chicken, Mac and cheese, fish, smothered pork chops was sooooo good! Not only was the food delicious and fresh, but the Lady that owns the place and granddaughter, came outside to thank me for being patient, and that was the sweetest thing! I really appreciated that! I will continue to support this business and also tell my family and friends about their food!

Mamma's Place is on top of their A game in terms of the food. The food is always fresh and delicious each time I order. Not only is that the reason I order ...on Sunday I ordered through Door Dash and my order was completely wrong. I called the restaurant and was told I needed to contact Door Dash with the problem. The grandmother knew I was so upset and disappointed and asked if I drove, when I replied yes, she said I will prepare what you ordered and I thought that was above and beyond! At the time I picked up the order the restaurant was already closed for business. Needless to say I will continue to support this local business! (not through Door Dash)

Ordered through grub hub. Food was fresh, hot and tasty. We had fried whiting, fried pork chops, mac n cheese, yams and collard greens. Fish was seasoned and fried perfectly. Pork chops were a nice size, so were the food portions. I had lost all hope on finding a decent cooked soul food place after trying 1 not too far from Momma's that turned me all the way off! But, glad I tried it, we were not disappointed at all. Food was good.

I stumble upon this place looking for some soul food and babieeeee it did not disappoint I had the smothered pork chops with Mac & greens mixed with cabbage and a side of rice and gravy it was good & I mean good good the service was excellent the lady waited on me and was extremely nice don’t let those negative comments fool you I also read them before coming and I am glad I did not let it stop me from coming

Attention African Americans. Momma's Place Soul Food Retaurant of Linden, N.J. is the place to go if you want real SOUL FOOD. This is your southern grandma's soul food. Everything there is delicious. The fried whiting was flaky and luscious, the fried chicken was succulent and juicy, the smothered pork chops were flavorful and tender, the apple pie was (made from scratch) exquisite and the pound cake was truly delectable. And... that corn bread was.... oh so good! The food is first quality and it was freshly prepared. The portions were big and the prices are really good! Everything was seasoned the way we southerners are used to it. The restaurant was clean, (the bathroom was 'bleach' clean), and on top of all this positivity, the service was friendly and attentive. You can't ask for anything more... except for 2 forks... so you can eat faster (laughing). If you want authentic soul food, and you're not going to make it yourself, head over to Momma's Soul Food in Linden, N.J., you will be so happy you did.
